Every Struggle in this world is aimed to achieve Freedom

The first time I read this quote, it kept resonating in my mind for a very long time, as if somebody had just revealed the biggest secret of this universe to me unknowingly. As I continued to think about it, I realized that every struggle whether internal or external is indeed aimed to achieve freedom.

Our external struggles help us establish ourselves in this world, prove our worth to this world and keep us moving from one socio-economical level to another. What we leave sets us free but at the same time what we achieve binds us.

Our internal struggles help us realize and prove our worth to ourselves. Struggle to become a better human being. In the process we free ourselves from the grips of that old person but cling to the new one.

Both aim Freedom from old but bind us to the new.

Life binds itself and also frees itself, when its born and when it leaves. We are like experiments of life, we are born , we bond to the world around us and then one day we have to leave everything behind.  But, when we leave do we actually detach ourselves from the journey we have led and struggles we have faced. Many questions keep hitting the shores of our mind like waves. Why was I born? What is my purpose? Why was I born in this family? Why am I like this? Why do I feel what I feel? Why I think differently? Why is my life path different from world?...the list is endless...

And then starts the journey of exploration, exploring the 'Why's'. While we are treading this path of exploration we keep on encircling the cycle of attachment and detachment till we free ourselves.
The sudden realization hits us that it was never about the world , it was always about 'me', myself, the 'I' , which I have been attached to all this while. All the struggles external and internal have been aimed to free myself from this 'I'.

We realize that the real freedom can be achieved only when we free ourselves from our self. Once 'I' is out, freedom sets in. The hooks of attachment start unhooking themselves automatically, without  an effort.  We embark on the path of the infinite.

When I am nothing only then I become everything and when I am everything, I am everywhere and when I am everywhere that is when 'I' is no longer there. The nothingness dwells abundance.

Freedom to be able to become everything and nothing at the same time sets us free and this realization initiates our first step towards achieving the real freedom.
